Thank you for considering admission into The Kidzone Academy. our desire is to provide a life-honoring journey for your family through the entire application process. Here at The Kindzone Academy, we are not a 'first come, first served' school. Instead, we strive to find the right students and families and endure that there is a mutually beneficial fit. Our aim is to give excellent education to all.
At The Kidzone Academy, you do not have to be from Freetown to be 'A Kidzone Kid'. We welcome both local and international students to The Kidzone Academy. The school offers warm, pastoral care for all its students.
Here you will find relevant enrollment information for students interested in our Early Childhood Center (Ages 1-5) and primary years (Ages 5-11).

From our Toddler class to stage 6 class, The Kidzone children are encouraged to defy their own limitations, to aspire to excellence, and to go above and beyond to make a real difference to the people and environment around them. Our class size is small enabling each child to receive one-on-one teaching and learning. We also welcome international students from many different countries to our school who play an important role in the cultural enrichment of our community.​

If so, we are looking to appoint a Deputy Head, Teachers (to include specialist teachers of French and Music) and School Admin to join a team which is committed to providing high quality education with excellence for all children.
These inspiring Early Childhood and Primary School professionals will join our school team for the 2020 - 2021 Academic Year. To deliver our high standard of educational excellence, applicants must be well-qualified, confident, well-organized, have a good sense of humor and participate fully in all aspects of school life within and beyond the classroom.
Our school takes children from ages 1+ to 11 from a range of international backgrounds. Our world-class curriculum is infused with and inspired by active learning: underpinned by our child-centered approach, enriched by topics, ideas and materials drawn from the best of international practice.

Hiring Process

1. INQUIRY w/ RESUME and LETTER OF INTEREST
The first official step in the application process is an email containing the candidate’s resume/CV and letter of interest, along with positions of interests.
-
A 90-second or shorter video of introduction is also requested. The video should answer “Who are you?” and “Why are you interested in working at TKZA?”
-
A short video of you teaching if you are applying for a teacher position.
Inquiries about employment that do not include a resume and letter of interest will not be considered. All applications and inquiries should be sent to thekidzonesl@gmail.com.
2. INITIAL INQUIRY CALL
If resume seems appealing, an initial Skype call will be scheduled to allow candidate opportunity to ask questions about TKZA and Sierra Leone.
3. APPLICATION and DOCUMENTATION of QUALIFICATIONS
If candidate and TKZA are still interested, candidate will fill out job application and cultural assessment. If you do not hear back from TKZA within 4 weeks, we will not be pursuing your application at this time.
3. INTERVIEW
If candidate and TKZA are still interested, appropriate committee will conduct a professional interview.
4. CONTACT REFERENCES
If TKZA is interested after reviewing application and qualifications, TKZA will contact references.
5. 2ND INTERVIEW
If references check out, a second interview will be conducted with the Director (most likely on skype).
6. JOB OFFER
If all are pleased, a job offer will be made.
